Mokkou Yokoyama

Born in Tokyo in 1918, he began making small bonsai pots in 1976. With a pottery career spanning over 30 years, his motto is primarily to create for himself rather than for sale. His works include underglaze blue, gold paint, and red clay pieces. Particularly notable is his technique called “Sumi Hajiki,” representing the technique of Mokko Bonsai pots.
