Born in Tokyo in 1948, she began her journey into pottery in 1988 under the guidance of her predecessor, Shouseki. After Shouseki’s passing in 2005, she took over Shouseki Kiln and renamed it as Shouseki Yuki, incorporating the name of Yuki city in Ibaraki Prefecture.
