Akio Ohno
Born in 1951, he shifted his focus from being a metal engraver to becoming a bonsai artist, driven by his love for bonsai. He founded Bonsai Ono in Suginami, Tokyo. Serving as the Vice Chairman of the Japan Shohin Bonsai Association, he worked alongside Zeko Nakamura to advance the art of small bonsai in Japan. His sculpted bonsai pots, unique and rare in number, enjoy a quiet but devoted following.
